Davenport University opens temporary student service site in Livonia

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 21, 2008 – Davenport University has opened a temporary admissions office in Laurel Park Place, 37700 West 6 Mile Road, Livonia.

The temporary site will enable current and new students to meet with university staff to review course schedules or apply for enrollment. A new Davenport University location, currently under construction, will open this fall at 19449 Victor Parkway, Livonia, and the temporary site is less than two miles away.

Admissions staff will be available in the Laurel Park site from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The facility will remain open until the new location, on the northeast corner of I-275 and 7 Mile Road, opens. The new 40,000 square-foot facility will include 26 classrooms, meeting rooms, an MBA seminar room, a 2,000 square-foot library information commons and conference rooms.

Davenport University—the only West Michigan-based private university specializing in business, technology and health professions—serves approximately 12,000 students through its campus in Caledonia Township (Grand Rapids), other locations in Michigan and online. Focusing on innovative, practical and affordable education, Davenport offers graduate and undergraduate degrees.
